"Heavy metal", in italiano "metallo pesante", evoca immediatamente due immagini, da una parte il genere musicale, dall'altra il vero significato del termine, riferito a pesanti e fragorose parti di ferro o di acciaio in movimento. Passando costantemente dall'una all'altra, il termine assume in questo breve lavoro un significato ironicamente metaforico. Dall'evocazione della storia, celebrata con una improbabile danza dettata dalle limitazioni del "costume", la tipica corazza medievale, il corpo tenta un assurdo processo di liberazione dal suo passato.

Alessandro Certini danzatore, improvvisatore, coreografo.
Dopo i primi studi con Traut Faggioni (Wigman, Kroitzberg) e Antonietta Daviso (classico) si interessa di tecniche postmoderne, ki-aikido, contact improvisation.
Nel ’79 è cofondatore della compagnia Group/O diretta da K. Duck ed entra in contatto con la scena internazionale dell'improvvisazione di danza e musica. Collabora da allora con figure guida di quest'ambito artistico, tra questi J.Hamilton, C.Zerbey, S.Paxton, F.Poulstra, D.Zambrano, S.Forti, L.Nelson, per citarne alcuni.
Nell'89 costituisce con Charlotte Zerbey il gruppo performativo Company Blu, presente in teatri e festival in Italia ed all’estero con un lavoro coreografico ed improvvisativo che vede il corpo in scena come luogo fisico e spirituale fortemente soggettivo, vivo nel sistema di relazioni e di mutazioni che ogni creazione comporta.
Spartaco Cortesi
musicista e sound designer si occupa di produzioni audio in progetti multimediali, utilizzando prevalentemente strumenti elettronici e software audio. Attivo come autore dai primi anni’90 in progetti
musicali di orientamento indie-rock e di musica elettronica, ha al suo attivo 5 album di cui 2 come solista sotto lo pseudonimo Yellowcake, pubblicati dalla seminale etichetta belga KK Records nella seconda metà degli anni 90.
Attualmente collabora con la compagnia teatrale di Prato TPO, con la compagnia di teatro-danza Company Blu di Sesto Fiorentino, gli studi di produzione video Surproduction e Caspasian Filmaker di Firenze.

"Heavy Metal" immediately conjures up two images, on the one hand the musical genre, the other the true meaning of the term, referring to the heavy and loud parts of iron or steel in motion. Constantly passing from one to another, the word takes on a meaning in this short work ironically metaphorical. From evocation of history, celebrated with a dance dictated by the limitations of the "costume", the typical medieval armor, the body tries an absurd process of liberation from his past.

Alessandro Certini dancer, improviser, choreographer.
Began dancing in Florence with Streiff Traut Faggioni (Wigman, Kreutzberg). He then became interested in Post-Modern techniques, Ki Aikido and contact Improvisation.
His professional career started in 1979 as a founding member of Group/O and has since been working with improvisation and choreographic skills which combine dance, music and theatre in projects with international artists such as K.Duck, J.Hamilton, S.Paxton, P.DeGroot, F.Poulstra, C.Zerbey, M. Tompkins, D. Zambrano, S. Forti, L. Nelson.
In 1989 he founds with choreographer Charlotte Zerbey Company Blu presenting in Italy and abroad choreographies where "product" and “process” support a system of immediate and direct movements as well as human relationships.
Spartaco Cortesi
musician and sound designer he has done audio productions within multimedial projects, using electronic instruments and audio software. Active as an author since the early ‘90s in musical projects of indie-rock and electronic music orientation, he has recorded five albums of which two as a soloist under the pseudonym Yellowcake, published by KK Records, Belgium at the end of the 90s.
At the moment he collaborates with the Theatrical company TPO Prato, with COMPANY BLU teatro-danza, and with video production studios Surproduction and Caspasian Filmaker in Florence.
