Sapendo che un certo passato provocò il nuovo incontro, muovendosi tra un presente ovvio ed un passato presunto.
Non sappiamo se si sono amati, o se si amano, o se ci saranno nuovi incontri. Noi non sappiamo se questi sei anni siano stati importanti nelle loro vite o il motivo per cui si sono separati. Possiamo capire quello che accadde durante i sei anni precedenti solo guardando cosa ci separò.
Un incontro quieto, imbarazzante, sommesso, forse ci ricordiamo l'un l'altro, forse stiamo tentando di provare che questi sei anni non sono passati invano.
È impossibile per una persona conoscere queste immagini a meno che non sia stata essa stessa a crearle. Mentre i loro gesti stanno passando di fronte ai tuoi occhi, ogni scintilla di movimento confermerà o infrangerà le nostre asserzioni.
Questo è un duetto sul passato e sul presente, essi si ascoltano l'un l'altro, legati fermamente l'un l'altro, come una storia d'amore inevitabile.

Roy Assaf è nato nel 1982. Nel 2003 comincia a lavorare con Emanuel Gat e danza con lui in due dei primi lavori di Gat: "Winter Voyage" e "The Rite of Spring " (2004). Nel 2005, Roy Assaf crea il suo primo lavoro - "We Came for the Wings, Stayed Because We Couldn't Fly", all'interno del concorso Shades in dance (Tel Aviv). Il lavoro vinse il premio della giuria e del pubblico. Da 2006, Assaf è assistente coreografo di Emanuel Gat, e sviluppa insieme a lui nuovi lavori (come "K626" – premiato al Festival di Marsiglia o "Hark" per l'Opera di Parigi) e mette in scena il repertorio in tutto il mondo. Nel 2009 prende parte nella creazione del duetto "Winter Variation" in cui danza con Gat stesso. Dal 2010, Roy Assaf è Socio Artistico alla società di NND, e crea un lavoro per loro:"Rock." Nel 2011 crea "Six Years Later", insignito del primo premio per la coreografia alla 5° International Choreography Competition di Copenaghen. In seguito crea "Acknowledgement" per la Cross Connection Ballet Company. Nel 2012 crea "The Hill" che ottiene il primo premio alla 27a 27th International Competition For Choreographers di Hannover. Il suo ultimo lavoro è "Girls".

Knowing that a certain past eventually caused the new encounter, moving between the obvious present and the presumed past.
We don’t know if they were lovers, or still are, or if there will be more encounters. We don’t know if these six years were important in their lives or the reason that they separated. We can understand what happened during the six years preceding this moment only by looking at what separated us.
A quiet meeting, embarrassing, hushed, perhaps we remember each other, maybe we are trying to prove that these six years were not in vain.
It’s impossible for a person to know about these images unless he creates them. While their gestures are passing in front of your eyes, each flicker of movement will either confirm what we thought or shatter our assumptions.
This is a duet about past and present, they listen to one another, firmly bonded to each other, like an inevitable love story.

Roy Assaf was born in 1982. In 2003 he started working with Emanuel Gat and danced alongside him in two of Gat's premier works: “Winter Voyage” and “The Rite of Spring” (2004). In 2005, Roy Assaf creates his first work - “We Came for the Wings, Stayed Because We Couldn't Fly”, as part of the “Shades In Dance” competition (Tel Aviv). The work won the Judges Choice and Audience Favourite award. Since 2006, Assaf is assistant choreographer of Emanuel Gat, developing new works (such as “K626” - awarded at the Festival de Marseille or “Hark” for the Paris Opera) and staging existing repertoire all over the world. In 2009 he took part in the creation of the duet “Winter Variation”, which he performed together with Gat himself. Since 2010, Roy Assaf became Artistic Associate at the NND company, and created a work for them - “Rock”. In 2011 he created "Six Years Later” which was later awarded the first prize in choreography at the 5th International Choreography Competition in Copenhagen. He then created “Acknowledgement” for the Cross Connection Ballet Company.
